The History of Collage Winter Guard

Collage began in 1989, based out of Cloverleaf High School. After three years, the guard began an independent organization and began competing on a state, regional and national level.

During Collage’s 19 years of competition, they have gone through many transformations of musical styles, membership size, and competition and talent levels. During these years, Collage has been a successful competitor in the MidEast Performance Association [MEPA] and Winterguard International [WGI] sponsored Regional and World Championships. Collage has been a three time MEPA State Champion in Independent A class, Regional finalist (Mideast, Midwest, Northeast) and Midwest Regional Champions. In 1993 Collage placed 10th in World Championships in Independent A class. The group has also been semi-finalists on numerous occasions.

Collage is a self-funding unit that generates its budget from membership dues, fundraising and numerous hard-working supporters. Collage prides itself on teaching strong technical skills and superior work ethics to all those who pass through the organization -- but never loses sight of having fun and celebrating each individual member's unique talent and artistry.
